Cardi B Says Sex Workers Are Lowering Prices Because Of Donald Trump’s Economy

Cardi B is once again making headlines after claiming that the current economy, which she links to Donald Trump’s influence, has caused sex workers to lower their rates. The rapper shared her thoughts during an Instagram Live session, where she spoke openly about how financial struggles are affecting different people, including those in the adult industry.
According to Cardi B, the economic downturn has forced many sex workers to charge significantly less than before. “You know how you know that the economy is bad? Because not even the prostitutes are getting fly anymore,” she said. “They were buying Chanel bags and living like rappers. Now they’re charging $2,500 instead of $10,000. The economy is bad.”
The Grammy-winning artist didn’t stop there. She directly blamed Donald Trump, saying his economic policies have done more harm than good for working-class Americans. “Donald Trump was never for poor people,” she said. “Not for white, Black, Spanish, or Asian people. He doesn’t care about the poor, not even millionaires like me.”
Cardi also brought up how she was previously mocked for calling Trump “Shrump” in a viral clip, saying she has always been vocal about political and social issues. The rapper has repeatedly expressed her dissatisfaction with Trump’s leadership and previously supported Kamala Harris during the 2024 election campaign.
Cardi B is known for using her platform to discuss political and economic topics, often sparking debate among her followers. Her latest comments once again mix celebrity influence with outspoken political criticism, keeping her at the center of both entertainment and public conversation.
