Young Thug Drops New Album “UY Scuti”

Young Thug has officially released his new album UY Scuti, marking his return to music after his release from jail in late 2024. The project, named after one of the largest known stars in the universe, symbolizes Thug’s vision of himself as a larger-than-life figure in the rap world.

The album features 20 tracks with guest appearances from some of the biggest names in hip hop. Collaborators include Drake, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Future, Cardi B, Travis Scott, Quavo, Sexyy Red, YFN Lucci, Ken Carson, T.I., Lil Gotit, 1300Saint and Mariah the Scientist. Production comes from top names such as Metro Boomin, Southside, Wheezy, ATL Jacob, TM88 and London on da Track.

The lead single “Money on Money” featuring Future dropped earlier this year, while “Miss My Dogs” arrived weeks before the album release. A new track, “Spider or Jeffery” featuring Quavo, was also added to the project.

It has already drawn attention for its bold cover art and controversial lyrics. On the opening track “Ninja,” Thug samples audio from his RICO trial while addressing themes of loyalty and betrayal. The album also sparked discussion over lyrics that some believe take aim at other rappers.

Despite the debates, ”UY Scuti” is being recognized as one of Young Thug’s most ambitious projects yet, blending personal reflections with high-profile collaborations. The album signals a strong comeback and reasserts his place in hip hop after a turbulent few years.
