2 Chainz has secured another piece of NBA history for his son, Halo, after Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant gifted him his All-Star Game jersey.
Chainz mixed business with pleasure during his time in Salt Lake City, Utah, while attending the NBA All-Star Game over the weekend.
The “No Lie” rapper took to Instagram on Monday (February 20) to salute the Memphis Grizzlies star for delivering the game-worn jersey off his back after his son, Halo, asked for him to get it.
“I told Ja that Halo asked me to get his jersey after all star game and he was wit it,” Chainz captioned a picture of him holding the autographed jersey.
He added in an Instagram Story after the game: “Preciate it Ja! That boy Halo asked me to get this jersey for him, no cap. He said, ‘Dad, get Ja’s jersey.’ The boy looked out, I appreciate it, fam.”

Morant suited up for Team Giannis in his second All-Star Game but didn’t make the impact he might have hoped as he poured in just six points and three assists across 20 minutes in the victory.
Halo has secured plenty of autograph victories in the past sitting courtside with his pops as New York Knicks guard R.J. Barrett blessed him with a signed jersey earlier in February and Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic even signed a jersey for him last season.
As for other 2 Chainz news, he’s set to upgrade his Hollywood résumé as 50 Cent revealed the Drench God has been cast in Season 3 of STARZ’s BMF.
“We making big moves for Season 3. Welcome to #BMF @Neyo,” 50 wrote before mentioning the “No Lie” rapper in his next post. “We got @2chainz locked in for #BMF season 3. Just wait, it’s going to be [fire].”
The Atlanta rhymer starred on an episode of Law & Order SVU in 2013, and more recently appeared in the 2022 action flick The Enforcer alongside Antonio Banderas.
