Wiz Khalifa has admitted that he is eager to get back on stage for his upcoming tour with Snoop Dogg after he’s revealed that he has recovered from his pelvic injury.
On Saturday (July 1), the Taylor Gang rapper gave fans a couple of updates on Twitter, saying “After a solid week of recovery I’m ready to get back to work.” He immediately followed up by mentioning that, “Practice for tour finna be fun as hell wit snoop tomorrow,” before admitting, “I’m really just gonna practice gettin stoned.”
The High School Reunion tour will kick off on Wednesday (July 7) in Vancouver and will make stops in other cities such as St. Louis, Toronto, Atlanta, and more.
Featured guests on the tour include Too $hort, Warren G, Berner, and DJ Drama.
The “Black and Yellow” rapper recently shared a couple of video clips with fans on Twitter last Friday (June 23), showing his struggle as he attempted to walk with two walking sticks.
“Small rip in the cartilage of my pelvis but I’ll be right back,” Wiz wrote. “The pain isn’t from the actual tear so soon as the spasms stop i should be Gu Wop.”
It didn’t take long to make progress. The very next day, he was able to ditch the sticks.
“4 legs was cool but i like two better,” Wiz wrote on Saturday (June 24) with a video of him walking with a massage gun.
Music wise, Wiz Khalifa surprised fans with a 25-track mixtape called See Ya on Wednesday (June 14). While features are kept to a minimum, production is handled by the likes of Wiz’s in-house producer ID LABS alongside Lex Luger, Iamsu! and more.
“I love you Taylors so much i decided to drop this bitch early,” Wiz tweeted with the surprise drop at the time.
Fans got a preview of an unreleased Wiz Khalifa and Lex Luger collab in May when the famed producer played the track at Pharrell‘s Something In The Water festival. When the song was mentioned on the Off Wrld Podcast shortly afterward, Wiz explained that Young Thug‘s incarceration impacted the song’s release.
“This was supposed to be on multiverse,” he revealed. “i was waiting for a verse from Thug but his legal stuff happened so it stayed unreleased.” Unfortunately, the song did not land on See Ya.
