Usher has finally unleashed his new single, “Glu”. Around one month after teasing the sensual ballad, the singer released the tune on Friday, March 17.
“You done made it messy/ I guess that means you qualified/ How the f**k you choke then don’t choke,” the 44-year-old sings in the opening verse. “Then do it both from the side? Hey/ Now you laying there breathless/ A sign of instant rush.”
“I just love that glue, ooh/ That slides down you whenever we start touchin’,” Usher continues in the chorus. “It gets all on you, all on me from f**kin’/ That’s when that glue done got you/ Hey.”
Usher first teased the song back on Valentine’s Day. At that time, he shared a steamy video starring Lori Harvey. In the clip, the stepdaughter of Steve Harvey can be seen holding roses and caressing her body as she’s dressed in black.
The forthcoming music video will serve as Usher’s directorial debut. “I knew she’d never done a video before, in the formal sense. And that isn’t necessarily her most comfortable place to be. But, so long as she would allow me to be her director, I could have my first with her. You know what I’m saying? And we could go through this together,” he explained to VIBE.
“She had to trust me, and I had to trust that she could show up and do what it is that I envisioned,” he added. “Just hoping that it sparks imagination for other people. If you see it, and it makes you feel some kind of way, maybe it then makes you want to have your own experience, or either this expectation, like, ‘Well honey, he did that for us. I mean, what you going to do for me?’ You know what I’m saying?”
