Tyler Cameron Has Been Asked to Be The Bachelor 5 Times: ‘Never Say Never’
Could Tyler Cameron be the next Bachelor?
The reality star, 31, made his mark as the runner-up in Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019. Now, he’s revealed just how many times he’s been approached to star as The Bachelor.
While on Watch What Happens Live Thursday, April 18, host Andy Cohen asked Cameron how many times ABC has asked him to serve as the lead for the long-running dating show.
“Probably about four, five times,” he confessed.
However, he suggested that it was not an item on his bucket list.
“I’ll never say never,” he added. “My theory in life is to tell the greatest story you can tell. Maybe one day down the road it could be a cool story but not right now.”
Brown ultimately gave her final rose to Jed Wyatt in the season 15 finale of The Bachelorette. Cameron recently shared his candid reaction to the rejection and confessed to the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in December, “I was very upset. I definitely cried a little bit, got a 12-pack of beer, sat in the bathtub for two hours, put on some Juice WRLD and cried and got over it.”
Brown later ended her and Wyatt’s engagement after she discovered he allegedly had a girlfriend when he was on
the show.

She publicly asked Cameron out during the After the Final Rose special. The former couple spent time together in her Los Angeles home in early August 2019 and isolated in quarantine together during the 2020 pandemic.
In March 2020, they reunited for his mother Andrea’s funeral after she died of a brain aneurysm at age 55. Despite his intentions to pursue something romantic, their reunion was “too soon” after his loss.
In August, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed Brown’s engagement to Adam Woolard.
Cameron, who also briefly dated Gigi Hadid and model Camila Kendra, was most recently linked to model Paige Lorenze. The two called it quits just weeks after making their relationship Instagram official in August 2022.
He said on an episode of E!’s Daily Pop at the time, “It wasn’t the right time, it wasn’t good for us,” adding that the two “took a step back.”
“So we’re back on just not dating anymore and just doing our own thing right now,” he continued, adding that they “have tons of respect and love for each other.”
“But it’s just not the right time for both of us right now,” he said, confirming: “I’m single, yeah.”
Cameron recently poked fun at his love life as he reacted to The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s split. The two announced their divorce after three months of marriage.
While on SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio’s The Happy Hour Cameron said that Turner and Nist put a “true stain on love in The Bachelor world.”
“Three months?” he added on Wednesday’s April 17 episode. “They make all of my relationships seem very long. Like golly, I’m a dating expert compared to them!”
