“It was pretty crazy seeing Hugh Grant just walking around this tent,” Jason Kelce said of attending the star-studded second show at London’s Wembley Stadium
Travis Kelce is opening up about some of his new celebrity friends.
On the season two finale of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, the brothers spoke about Travis, 34, making his onstage debut at the Eras Tour, before dishing about who else was in the crowd during Taylor Swift’s London shows last month.
Jason, 36, mentioned that Hugh Grant had messaged Swift, 34, after he attended the second Wembley Stadium show on June 22 with his 8-year-old daughter and wife, Anna Eberstein.
“Dear @taylorswift13, You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.),” Grant, 63, posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), adding, “Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”
“It was pretty crazy seeing Hugh Grant just walking around this tent,” Jason admitted on the podcast.
“I mean, it wasn’t just Hugh. It was Tom Cruise. It was Ashton Kutcher… Mila [Kunis],” Travis pointed out, adding that Liam Hemsworth was also in the packed VIP tent. “Liam was in that thing, dude. It’s so cool. The Aussies are so much fun to be around, aren’t they?” he continued.
“They know how to party. That’s for damn sure,” Jason commented, as Travis went on, “I’ve been fortunate to meet him and his brother this off-season, and both of them just don’t disappoint. They just seem like the coolest guys.”
“Everybody was having fun in that tent. Let me tell you. Part of it too is like Hugh had his 8-year-old there,” Jason recalled. “Like the kids that are in there mixed with the grown adults that are acting like kids, it just leads to this energy that’s so infectious.”
“It really comes down to just the magic of the show in general and the energy,” Jason said.
“It was unbelievable. And the kids that were in there were, like, they knew every single word to every single song,” Travis shared.
Jason commented on the energy Swift and her fellow performers bring to the stage, saying how special it is to have such a variety of ages all enjoying the same music. “It really just takes you by storm,” he said.
After mentioning that Greta Gerwig was also at the London show, Travis opened up about meeting Julia Roberts at the third and final show in Dublin on June 30. “That was pretty cool, she was awesome,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end recalled. “Her and Stevie Nicks were in there having some fun.”
