Tom Brady Will Come Out Of Retirement To Play In Miami, Claims Ex-NFL Quarterback Scott Zolak

Will Tom Brady come out of retirement for the second time? Former NFL quarterback Scott Zolak has insisted that a return to the field wasn’t off the table for the seven-time Super Bowl champion despite the latter’s insistence that he would not perform another retirement U-turn.

Former New England quarterback Zolak, who currently serves as a Patriots radio broadcaster, said he believes Brady will soon take another retirement U-turn. Zolak claimed that the 45-year-old newly-retired athlete coming out of retirement for a second time to ply his trade in Miami is still on the table.

“Brady may go to Miami,” Zolak said on NBC Sports Boston, “I think that’s in play. I do. I think the possibility of him coming out of retirement is definitely 100 percent in play.” He went on adding, “You can sit there and look at the kitten tweet from [Tuesday.] Don’t buy that.”

Zolak was referring to Brady’s tweet Tuesday that poured cold water on the retirement U-turn rumors. The post on the blue bird app read, “Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2-month-old kitten for their daughter.”

Brady’s tweet came after NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen said on his show “The Rich Eisen Show” that he might be returning to play. “Number one rumor I heard at the [NFL] Combine? Not in terms of chatter, but this one just blew my mind: Tom Brady may not be done after all,” the sports commentator said.

“A couple of people were just like, ‘Hang on, just you wait.’ And I’m like, ‘He’s Instagramming out [pictures] of his cat, you know?’ ” he continued, “But it doesn’t look like he’s getting big and fat, does it? Let it play out. Let’s see who wants what.”

Eisen added that “folks are saying keep an eye out” for Miami as a landing spot for Brady, as the team’s current quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed several games during the 2022 season due to concussions he suffered on the field.

“If somehow, some way, a doctor’s report [is published], a medical evaluation of Tua [Tagovailoa] that he may not be ready to go, suddenly there’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself,” Eisen said.

Brady initially announced his retirement in February last year but walked back on his decision a month later. He then spent the final year of his playing career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while also grappling with the fallout of his divorce from Gisele Bundchen. The couple finalized their split in October last year after 13 years of marriage. Then on February 1 this year, he told the world that he’s retiring “for good.” A few days later, it’s reported that he filed retirement papers to confirm the end of his football career.
