“Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead,” Swift sang
Taylor Swift and Andrea Swift are once again proving that they are mother-daughter goals!
For the surprise songs portion of the Eras Tour show in London on Saturday, June 22, Swift performed a mashup of Speak Now hit “Mean” and The Tortured Poets Department’s “thanK you aIMee,” which mentions Andrea.
The latter song contains pointed lyrics about Swift’s feud with Kim Kardashian, with Swift, 34, singing, “Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead.”
As the 14-time Grammy winner delivered the line on the Wembley Stadium stage, a fan who was filming the show from near the VIP friends and family tent turned their camera to show her mom’s sweet reaction.
In the fan-captured footage, audience members near Andrea clap and cheer after the “saintly woman” lyric, and she responds by waving enthusiastically from inside the tent.
Another clip from the same show, which was shared by a Swift fan account, shows “The Best Day” muse arriving — and becoming emotional as Swifties cheered for her.
In the video, Andrea walks along a barricade waving at fans and, as the crowd shows no signs of stopping their cheers of “Mama Swift,” she appears to get choked up, smiling and covering her mouth.
With a handful of friendship bracelets gifted to her by Swifties — an Eras Tour tradition inspired by a lyric from Midnights track “You’re On Your Own, Kid” — she also touched her hand to her chest as she walked through the crowd.
Elsewhere during Swift’s London shows, which have also been attended by Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and dad Scott Swift, Andrea nodded to Swift’s maternal grandmother.
The nod came as the pop superstar performed evermore track “Marjorie,” which is named after and about her late grandma, Marjorie Finlay, and features a backing track of her vocals.
While performing the emotional tribute track — a staple of Swift’s evermore and folklore set — Andrea was spotted holding up a photo of Marjorie, another fan-captured photo shows.
For her other surprise song at her June 22 show, Swift performed “Castles Crumbling” with Hayley Williams, her longtime friend and the frontwoman of Paramore, the primary supporting act for the star’s London shows.
Swift’s loved ones were joined in the audience on Saturday by several stars, including Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Greta Gerwig and Hugh Grant, who later thanked the singer and her “gigantic boyfriend,” Kelce, for the experience.
The singer’s Friday night show was also an star-studded affair, with celebs like Salma Hayek, Nicola Coughlan, Jonathan Van Ness, Leslie Mann showing up to support the performer.
Prince William was also in the audience of the Friday show shaking it off to celebrate his birthday with kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte — and even posing with Swift for a photo.
Everything is impossible until you take the steps to make it possible, be positive in every step you make. Nature will definitely give you the smoothest part of life.
