The European leg of Swift’s Eras Tour continues through August 20
Taylor Swift’s string of Amsterdam shows is underway!
On the Fourth of July, the pop superstar, 34, took her Eras Tour to the Netherlands — playing the first of three nights to a sold-out crowd at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam.
Among the surprises during her latest show, Swift added a mashup of “The Archer” from 2019’s Lover and “Question…?” from 2022’s Midnights, as seen in a video shared by a fan on X (formerly known as Twitter).
After Swift added songs from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department to her setlist as she headed for the first of her European dates in Paris on May 9, “The Archer” was among the songs that were cut to make room for new material.
Swift also performed a mashup of “Guilty as Sin?” from The Tortured Poets Department and “Untouchable” from 2021’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version), as seen in another fan video on X. The singer is set to perform at the arena on July 5 and 6, before heading to Zürich, Switzerland for her first of two performances on July 9.
The “Cruel Summer” singer’s stop in the Dutch capital comes halfway through the European leg of the record-breaking tour, which has already made waves in cities across the United States, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
Swift hasn’t performed in Amsterdam in nearly a decade, last playing the city during a stop on her 1989 World Tour on June 21, 2015 — the same day she famously penned an open letter to Apple Music, which successfully changed the streaming service’s royalty rates for artists during users’ three-month free trial.
Keen fans will also remember that the performer recently had a small role in the 2022 David O. Russell film Amsterdam, where she acted alongside a slew of A-listers including Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Robert De Niro and Chris Rock. (Though portions of the film take place in Amsterdam, the movie was filmed in California.)
