Taylor Swift Hugs Jason Kelce at Chiefs Game After He Apologizes for Using Slur While Defending Travis
Taylor Swift and Jason Kelce reunited when they were both at Arrowhead Stadium for Travis Kelce’s Monday Night Football game. The two were spotted hugging in Travis’ private suite just two days after Jason received backlash for using a homophobic slur while defending the A-listers’ relationship.
Jason, 37, was at Arrowhead Stadium as an analyst for ESPN’S Monday Night Countdown on Monday, November 4, but he was able to sneak away to spend some time with his family and friends. Taylor, 34, attended the game with mom Andrea Swift and brother Austin Swift, while Travis, 35, and Jason’s mom, Donna Kelce, was also in attendance.
It was business as usual for Jason, despite his controversial moment at Penn State University for ESPN’s College GameDay on November 2. The retired NFL star was walking through a crowd outside the college stadium when a student asked him, “Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a fa–ot for dating Taylor Swift?”
Jason retaliated by grabbing the heckler’s phone and smashing it to the ground. He eventually responded, “Who’s the fa–ot now?”
During the Monday Night Countdown pre-show, Jason addressed the situation. “Listen, I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it. In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that that’s a productive thing. I really don’t. I don’t think it leads to discourse and is the right way to go about things.”

He also explained that he’s always been taught to live life “by the Golden Rule,” adding, “I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m gonna keep doing that moving forward, even though I fell short this week. I’m gonna do that moving forward and continue to do that.”
Jason and Taylor’s reunion comes following his attendance at the Eras tour in Miami on October 18. The former Philadelphia Eagles star and wife Kylie Kelce took two of their daughters to the concert and a video went viral that appeared to show Jason sleeping in his seat.
However, he later clarified that he was definitely not taking a nap in the middle of the show. “Travis, you know I didn’t take a nap,” Jason told his brother on their “New Heights” podcast. “I did not take a nap.”
The Chiefs beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 during the Monday, November 4, game, bringing them to an undefeated 8-0 record this season. Taylor was able to attend the game after performing three back-to-back shows in Indianapolis, Indiana, over the weekend. Travis was there for the November 2 show before returning to Kansas City to prepare for his game.
With Taylor having an off weekend coming up, fans are expecting her to show up at Arrowhead Stadium once again on November 10 for the Chiefs’ next game against the Denver Broncos. The “Shake It Off” singer will then head to Toronto for six shows, while Travis heads to Buffalo and Florida for two more games. On December 8, the Eras tour concludes in Vancouver, Canada, which will be just in time for the holidays and NFL playoff season.
