Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are both incredibly successful in their respective careers, but thankfully, they won’t be competing against one another for professional achievements. At least, that seemed like a safe prediction when they first started dating, but it’s turned out to be false. The pair are nominated against each other for a special honor, but chances are this race probably won’t cause much friction between the lovers.
Both Kelce and Swift are among the nominees for the 2024 Webby Awards. These prizes are bestowed upon a variety of projects and people for excellence on the internet.
The two members of the hottest celebrity couple on the planet right now are both nominated in a category called Best Creator or Influencer Collaboration, Features (Social). Kelce is in the running for a partnership he forged with the Cheesecake Factory. Swift is a possible winner thanks to her work with Vote.org on National Voter Registration Day.
With most award shows, there’s one winner–unless there’s a tie, which is typically very rare among the most prestigious honors in Hollywood (and beyond). But with the Webbys, there’s a chance that both Swift and Kelce could leave as winners.
With the Webbys, each category features two winners. One is decided by a jury of carefully selected voters. The other is chosen by fans in a people’s choice. It’s possible that both Swift and Kelce will win this field, sharing in their triumph.
This year, Kelce is up for a pair of Webbys. In addition to his branded campaign with the Cheesecake Factory, his podcast New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce is also a possible winner in the Sports, Shows (Podcasts) field. He’s nominated for that honor alongside his brother, Jason, who just retired from the field.
The 2024 Webbys will take place in New York City, NY on May 13. The annual ceremony will be hosted by Amber Ruffin this time around, and chances are a number of nominees will be on hand to collect their honors–but will Kelce?
