Swifties celebrate anniversary of Travis Kelce shooting his shot at Taylor Swift on ‘New Heights’ podcast: ‘You got her’

Good thing he shook it off.

It’s been one year since Travis Kelce spoke about trying and failing to give Taylor Swift his phone number at her Missouri Eras Tour show — and Swifties are celebrating their now-successful romance.

The pop star’s fans took to X on Friday to honor the anniversary of the NFL star, 34, shooting his shot on his “New Heights” podcast while chatting with brother Jason Kelce.

“Forever thankful for friendship bracelets, New Heights and Jason being an inquisitive big brother,” one user wrote.

Another tweeted that the “rest is history” and the couple have “many more [anniversaries] to come,” while a third called the romance a “real life romantic comedy.”

A fourth Swiftie joked, “Well Travis, You knew what you wanted and boy, you got her.”

Many echoed Swift’s reaction to the podcast shoutout, which she later claimed was “metal as hell.”

Prior to her relationship with Travis, Swift dated actor Joe Alwyn.

News broke in April 2023 that the couple had called it quits after six years together — and Travis attended one of Swift’s concerts at Arrowhead Stadium three months later.

The tight end documented the experience for Jason on July 26, 2023, three weeks after the performance.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” a “butthurt” Travis said.

The Kansas City Chiefs player explained that he was not able to present the singer, 34, with the beaded friendship bracelet he made with his number.

When Jason, 36, attempted to clarify whether his sibling was referring to a phone number or a jersey number, Travis replied, “You know which one.”

The “Catching Kelce” alum added, “She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me. So, I took it personal.”

Two months after the episode dropped — and listeners shipped the couple in supportive social media comments — a report surfaced that Swift and Travis were “hanging out.”

The duo confirmed their romance in September 2023 when Swift was spotted in the stands at Travis’ team’s game against the Chicago Bears.

The Grammy winner, who went on to attend numerous games before watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in February, finally broke down their relationship timeline in a Time magazine profile in December.

“We started hanging out right after [the podcast episode],” she said in the interview.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift clarified. “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
