“I already have the Olympic rings, but maybe something as an ode to Paris. I’m not sure,” the gymnast said
Simone Biles may be adding some 2024 Paris Olympics-inspired ink.
The gymnast, 27, who won a gold medal in the women’s all-around final (a competition she first won gold in at the 2016 Rio Olympics), revealed in a recent GRWM video that she might memorialize her third Olympics with a new tattoo.
“I also haven’t decided if I’m going to get a tattoo after this,” she said as she applied makeup in the clip that was filmed before her big win. “I already have the Olympic rings, but maybe something as an ode to Paris. I’m not sure.”

According to Teen Vogue, Biles, who is officially the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history, got the Olympic rings tattooed in March 2017. Her other body ink include the phrase “And still I rise,” her birth year, 1997, two tiny butterflies, and the words “Golden” and “XO” tattoo, per POPSUGAR.
Biles candidly described the meaning of her “And still I rise” tattoo in her Netflix series Simone Biles Rising.
âBefore I got this tattoo, it was a saying that I loved â obviously, Maya Angelou â and I was like, âAnd still I rise is perfect,â because I feel like thatâs kind of the epitome of my career and my life story,” she said. “Because I always rise to the occasion, and after all of the traumas and downfalls, Iâve always risen.â
It’s no surprise that Biles may get some new body art after the Olympics, as she and her teammates Jade Carey, Sunisa âSuniâ Lee, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera also won gold in the womenâs gymnastics team final.
After being forced to withdraw from the Tokyo Olympics due to experiencing the disorienting condition known as the twisties, competing with her teammates proved to be an achievement in itself.
âAt the beginning of the day, I started off with therapy this morning, so that was super exciting. I told her I was feeling calm and ready and thatâs kind of exactly what happened,” she told reporters, including PEOPLE, at a press conference following the womenâs team final.
