Nigerian singer Simi and some residents of Magodo are celebrating their one week uninterrupted power supply for the first time in their lives.
The silky voiced singer who is very active on social media posted on her twitter page that she has had electricity for a whole week and she does not know what to do with herself.
“Guys. We’ve had light for over a week. I don’t know what to do.” she wrote.

Other residents of the same community in Magodo expressed their joy at the stable electricity they have been enjoying after signing a premium deal with the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company.
While some praised the electricity distribution company for providing a solution to their power problem, others praised the power minister Babatunde Raji Fashola for rolling out the initiative.
We don’t even know what to do with light again in Magodo

I live in Magodo. This is the first time in my entire life I'll experience 24hrs/uninterrupted Electricity Supply as a Citizen in Nigeria. Still feels surreal. Massive savings for my Husband & I on Petrol/Diesel+Peace & Comfort. Welldone @IkejaElectric Cc @ugodre @toluogunlesi https://t.co/IV2ZHC3K1M

When I said Babatunde Raji Fashola was the best we ever had in Power ministry, some were shouting "Engineering qualification"…..
See Magodo residence now enjoying the initiative he brought forth within 3 years…
