Selena Gomez’s Kidney Donor Francia Raisa Dodges Friendship Questions Amid Rumored Feud
Francia Raisa got coy when asked about her friendship with Selena Gomez. More than five years after donating her kidney to the “Lose You To Love Me” singer, the actress playing Valentina in “How I Met Your Father” added fuel to rumors of them still being in a feud.
On Sunday, April 30, the 34-year-old was going for a walk in Los Angeles when she was confronted with questions by TMZ. Asked about where she stood with her 30-year-old pal, she dodged by simply replying, “Sunday is so fun … I’m Francia, I’m hanging out with my dog.”
The “Grown-ish” alum was further pressed with inquiry if she remained in touch with the recipient of her kidney donor. She once again deflected the question. This time, she asked back, “It’s a good day isn’t it?”
During the occasion, Francia was also asked about unfollowing Selena on Instagram. Once again, she found a way to pivot from the question by making a reference to the San Fernando Valley area in California. She asked, “Did you know I’m from the Valley?”
Though so, Francia was willing to share her thoughts on organ donation. She stated, “I would definitely speak to someone again about organ donation and the process.”
Francia was reported to have stopped talking to Selena since 2018 due to the latter’s unhealthy lifestyle. Years later, in November 2022, Selena told Rolling Stone magazine that she only had Taylor Swift as a friend in Hollywood.
“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong,” the songstress said. “I felt the presence of everyone around me living full lives. I had this position, and I was really happy, but… was I? Do these materialistic things make me happy? [I realized] I just didn’t like who I was, because I didn’t know who I was.”
