The actress/musician also revealed who her childhood crushes were, including Jesse McCartney in an interview with ‘W Magazine’
Selena Gomez is aware of what gets under her skin.
In a Friday, Jan. 3 interview for W Magazine’s Best Performances Issue, the singer/actress revealed what her biggest pet peeves are.
“My pet peeves are people who are late,” Gomez, 32, began.
She also doesn’t like “how people treat other people if they treat me differently.”
“I notice those things very quickly,” Gomez continued. “Because I have lovely people in my life that have nothing to do with the industry, and I really pay attention to how people treat my friends and people around me.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, the Rare Beauty founder — who’s garnering Oscar buzz for her role in Netflix’s Emilia Pérez — opened up about her childhood crushes.
“When I was younger, I probably had too many crushes,” said Gomez, noting that one was none other than Jesse McCartney.
“When ‘Beautiful Soul’ came out — that was just life-changing for me,” she told the outlet.
Gomez continued, “I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. I also just had crushes more in real life than on actors or musicians.”
While the “Fetish” singer had crushes from a young age, it wasn’t until she was “11 or 12” that Gomez had her first kiss — and it was on TV.
“I guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse,” the Wizards of Waverly Place alum said. “It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because both of us were so young. We were figuring out how to kiss. I had never done it, and I was so scared.” Her first “real life” kiss, she said, came when she was “14.”
On Thursday, Jan. 2, Gomez marked the end of 2024 with a slideshow of videos and photos of herself and Benny Blanco, just weeks after their engagement.
