Selena Gomez Cosigns the Return of the Flipped-Out Bob

This style elevates even the simplest outfit.

Selena Gomez may be back in her bob era.

On March 1, the 31-year-old pop star shared another one of her casually sultry mirror selfies, this time dressed in a simple white tank top and bell-bottom jeans. All it took to elevate this everyday uniform was her face-framing bob with the ends curled upwards. While the flicked bob is also having a moment with ultra-short versions of the cut, Gomez’s hair seems to sit just above her shoulders with a few volumeizing layers and a more dramatic flip.

It’s unclear, however, if this is a new cut or a throwback pic. While Gomez was last seen rocking long hair at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in late February, her “Love On” music video featured a similar short style with Bardot bangs. Still, it’s possible she grew out those bangs long enough to blend them into the rest of her hair for the mirror snap.

Gomez also sported a similar length at the AFI Awards in January, though she styled that midi-bob with a side-part and a bouncier curl reminiscent of the baroque bob trend.

Even so, there’s some reason to believe this is a fresh style for Gomez. On March 1, Gomez also shared a behind-the-scenes moment from filming Only Murders in the Building season four, which can be seen here. Sitting with costars Martin Short and Steve Martin, Gomez appeared to have a shorter haircut than the chest-length style she was sporting in February, though her bunched up shoulders make it hard to tell. It was cold, okay?!

Either way, there’s nos such thing as too much bob-inspo. Thank you for your service, Selena Gomez.
