Taylor Swift is peeling back the curtain on how The Tortured Poets Department came to be.
On Monday, June 10, Taylor Nation, Swift’s official fan site, shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram clip of Swift, 34, and Florence and the Machine’s Florence Welch recording “Florida!!!”
The black-and-white clip showed Welch, 37, inside a recording booth as Swift filmed herself overwhelmed with excitement.
“The level of talent that was in the recording studio this day 🤯,” the clip’s caption read. The song also includes a credit for Emma Stone, who PEOPLE previously confirmed helped create it.

Welch shared an equal level of excitement after Swift’s album featuring the track was released, writing in an April 19 Instagram post, “Me and my ghosts we had a hell of a time 🖤 @taylorswift Honoured to be in this department.”
The post included an animated note with lyrics from the song and letterhead that read “Florence Welch Department of Hurricanes and Haunted Lace Florida.”
That same month, the musician recalled her experience recording with Swift in an interview with British Vogue, expressing that Swift came to her with “a concept and a story.”
