ScHoolboy Q’s “CrasH Talk” First Week Numbers Are In

Spread the love

ScHoolboy Q turns in some impressive numbers.

Last week, sales projections for ScHoolboy Q’s CrasH Talk pointed to a big first week for the TDErapper, with HDD projecting between 80-80K. It was also projected that he’d be coming in behind both Hillsong United and P!nk, two thorns in the side of a number one aspirant. Now, the official numbers are in, and the third-place prophecy has indeed come to manifest as a reality. Sadly, Q’s ultimate first week numbers fell a tad short of his projected ones, with a reported 78,185 in album equivalent units. Of those, 20,479 came from physical sales, proving that Q’s fanbase remains loyal to the CD, at least to an extent.

The project marked an improvement from 2016’s Blank Face by four thousand units, so perhaps Q will find his fifth project sloping on an upward trajectory. In any case, Q should celebrate his accomplishment, as 78k is no easy feat. Last we saw on his IG, the man was hitting the links as per usual, his “happy place” by his own admission. Hopefully, he can find satisfaction in hitting the top three, despite previously expressing a desire to take the crown like he once did with Oxymoron.

Congrats Q! Be sure to check out our own review of CrasH Talk, right here.
