Nana Appiah, known on stage as Kontihene, has stated that radio presenters including Andy Dosty and Prince Tsegah are very wicked and even intended to sue the two named presenters.
He was on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on February 4, 2019 with Andy Dosty.
Kontihene, the ‘Asesa’ hitmaker, who was on the show to promote his new song, ‘Tricks’ made this accusation when addressing the issue of him asking radio presenters not to play his ‘Asesa’ track but rather concentrate on his new songs.
He explained that these presenters just started playing this almost two decade track which is scarcely heard on radio because of the name ‘Nana Appiah’ in the track which coincidentally is the name of the embattled Menzgold Boss, NAM1 (Nana Appiah Mensah).
He further quizzed, “if these presenters are not wicked, why would they promote the songs of foreign acts, such as Nigerians at the expense of the locals but will come to these locals for help when they have funerals”.
Kontihene further accused owners of radio stations as also been wicked which has largely contributed to some of the wickedness exhibited by some of these presenters. He stated this when touching on presenters taking money before playing songs to promote them.
He explained that there are some presenters who are working with radio stations but are not on pay rolls, even to the extent that they don’t get money for transportation fares to their work places. These are force such presenters to also resort to taking money before playing songs.
He also stated that it was “stupid of and regrettable” for him to put his career on hold to help promote Kwabena Kwabena which earned him nothing and has learnt not to do same again.
