Quando Rondo says his Never Broke Again boss NBA YoungBoy gave him $1 million last week amid YB being found not guilty in his federal gun case. The Georgia rapper shared the news via his Instagram Stories on Monday (July 18), using the seven-figure amount to shrug off going through a breakup with his girlfriend.
“I give it 2weeks after the break up you gone be getting fucced but I ain’t tripping I seen it all,” he wrote. “LIL TOP JUST GAVE ME A MILLION DOLLARS LAST WEEK PLUS I ALLREADY HAD A COUPLE HUNNIT I CAN CARELESS BOUT A BITCH I GOT A BAG.”

Quando Rondo signed to NBA YoungBoy’s Never Broke Again label in 2018 despite offers from The Game and Birdman.
“The Game actually wanted to sign me,” he told VladTV in 2019. “Birdman actually wanted to sign me too. Birdman called me before everybody else called me, before The Game and all them called me. Then a lot of little rappers who are nobodies now, a lot of rappers that I eventually ended up getting bigger than that I used to look up to, a lot of them tried to sign me and shit. But Birdman and The Game and YB have probably been the three biggest people that ever tried to [sign me].”
He continued, “[Birdman] was like, ‘Nephew, I’m trying to put you on the first plane smoking to Miami. I’m trying to bring you out here.’ My probation officer didn’t think it was real, so she didn’t let me go. So that’s what really canceled the Birdman shit. But the YB situation was just too real, just too good to be true. He wasn’t bullshittin’.”
Quando Rondo has released a number of mixtapes through Never Broke Again and Atlantic Records, as well as his 2020 debut album QPac, which debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 20,000 total album-equivalent units.
