Shatta Wale after his collaboration with Beyonce on her Lion King: The Gift album has now been tagged as an International artist after he was mocked for been a local champion by fans of his rivals.
It seems the mockery is all over as he has also launched an attack on some Ghanaian artists who with pride has refused to come to him so that he can link them up for international collaborations.
According to the now international champion, instead of Ghanaian musicians approaching him in order to teach them how to get international collaboration as he had with Beyonce, their pride and ‘too-known’ attitude is impeding them.
“A King is never recognized in his own country. Ghanaian Artistes see themselves too-known too much. Instead of them linking up and getting close, and asking me ‘oo Shatta, who did you get these links so that I also teach them, they are there forming big boy-big boy levels.”
When asked why can’t he also call his close friends in the Industry and also tell them some of these links, he said,
“I don’t have friends in this industry now. I tried making friends but ego on their part has made it possible for our friendship not too last; you tell them this, but they think their way is 100%, they are not ready for this.”
