The spring season hosts tons of festivals every year, and a lot of announcements of star-studded lineups have been rolling out.
Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow and Lil Baby will headline Montreal’s 2023 Metro Metro Festival, which will also include The Kid Laroi as a special guest.
Taking place over the course of three days from May 19 to May 21, other names on the bill include Bia, Coi Leray, Cordae, Fivio Foreign, Lil Skies, Lil Tjay, Metro Boomin, Nav, Ski Mask The Slump God, Destroy Lonely and Yeat.
Catering to the nostalgia of the 2000s, the Lovers & Friends Festival recently announced their 2023 lineup will include performances from 50 Cent, Usher, The Diplomats, Missy Elliott, Chris Brown, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Summer Walker, T.I., Soulja Boy, Busta Rhymes, Chingy, Remy Ma, Pitbull and a slew of others.
Now in its second year, Lovers & Friends was one of the most anticipated festivals of 2020 until the coronavirus pandemic caused it to be postponed indefinitely. Snoop Dogg, Live Nation and Bobby Dee announced the nostalgia-packed festival’s revival with a revamped lineup last year, which included performances from Lauryn Hill, Ludacris, Lil’ Kim, Ashanti, Ja Rule, T-Pain, Fabolous, Nelly, Jon B and more.
Back in January Lil Jon threatened to take legal action against Live Nation for staging a second edition of the Lovers & Friends Festival without his involvement.
According to TMZ, the multi-platinum producer and his legal team formally reached out to the company on Monday (January 30), in a letter that made it expressly clear that Jon wants to be compensated for the use of the title of his 2004 single. However, sources close to Lil Jon say he is trying to settle the matter without getting the courts involved.
