The capsule has been previously teased by way of a Harper’s Bazaar fashion spread, but interested parties can now check out the full collection through a cinematic advertisement. With a strong emphasis on vibrant colors, particularly strong reds and yellows, “Chanel Pharrell” appears to draw influence from Japanese culture. In a behind-the-scenes featurette, Pharrell explains how the influence of “Akira” formed his recent capsule, how the collaboration stemmed from a bet, the impact of the late Karl Lagerfeld, and how gender fluidity plays a role in shaping modern “Haute Couture” trends. Check out the clip below, and respect to Pharrell for his latest move.
The full collection is set for a global launch of April 4, after being released in Seoul on March 29th.
