Patrick Mahomes doesn’t think his wife, Brittany Mahomes, gets the credit she deserves.
“People don’t even realize how much she does, taking care of the day-to-day stuff and making it so where I can focus on football, focus on my craft and everything like that,” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback said on Logan Paul’s podcast, “Impaulsive,” Thursday.
Patrick, 28, described Brittany, also 28, as “a half of fame mom” to their two children, 3-year-old daughter Sterling and 1-year-old son Bronze, as well as “a hall of fame wife.”
The NFL star added that he considers his wife to be his “best friend” and said nothing is better than coming home and hanging out together, adding, “It makes you want to be there all the time.”
Patrick and Brittany met in 2012 when he was a sophomore and she was a junior at Whitehouse High School in Texas. They began dating soon after.
The following year, the couple attended prom together.
Despite the two of them going to different colleges, they continued to date.
After graduating in 2017, Brittany signed with an Icelandic professional soccer team while the Chiefs selected Patrick during the first round of the NFL draft.
The pair got engaged in September 2020 and announced Brittany was pregnant later that month.
“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” she captioned an Instagram post at the time showing her holding a sonogram while her husband cradled her baby bump.
They married in March 2022, with daughter Sterling serving as their flower girl.
The couple welcomed son Bronze, whose real name is Patrick III, that November.
Brittany also has been a vocal supporter of Patrick.
The retired athlete shouted out her “hottttttt hubby” on her Instagram Story after his Time 100 profile was published last month.
She posted his cover story along with sweet photos of him cuddling on the couch with Bronze.
