Nicki Minaj Reminds Fans Of Chart Prowess As She Scores New Double Platinum Plaque

Nicki Minaj has reached another major career milestone, adding to her already extensive resumé with her 2022 smash hit, “Super Freaky Girl.”

Chart Data has reported that Nicki Minaj’s viral hit song continues to gain momentum, and it’s now earned a double platinum status according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The Pinkprint rapper dropped off the track, which samples Rick James’ 1981 hit “Super Freak,” last August.

“I can lick it, I can ride it while you slippin’ and slidin’/ I can do all them little tricks and keep the dick up inside it/ You can smack it, you can grip it, you can go down and kiss it/ And every time he leave me alone he always tell me he miss it,” she raps on the chart-topping song.

The rapper recently celebrated the accomplishment by quote tweeting the post, writing: “In a matter of months? Omg barbz, the bad btchs that you are!!!!! Ugh! Your minds!!!! #DOUBLEPLATINUM 1st #1 SOLO female rap debut since Lauryn Hill. Last solo debut since… well since me! Oh barbz you’ll always be famous. thank you. I love you so.”

This isn’t the first time the Pink Friday rapper has broken records with the song. Shortly after being released, it broke a major Spotify record by becoming the fastest solo female rap song to accumulate 100 million streams on the platform.

The explosive new single also gave Nicki her very first No. 1 hit as a solo artist and first chart-topping debut for any solo female rap artist since 1998.

In other related news, Nicki Minaj recently dethroned Drake for the most No.1 hits thanks to her Ice Spice collaboration, “Princess Diana.”

The pair dropped the remix off earlier this month, and it’s currently sitting at No.4 on the Billboard Hot 100. As a result, Nicki extends her record as the female rapper with the most Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart.

Following the track being released, the duo released an EP of “Princess Diana” remixes, which include four alternative versions of Ice Spice’s popular track, including one called “Extendo Clip.” Although they maintain the original’s energetic beat, each remix has its own flavor, texture, and influence.
