Nicki Minaj Appears To Squash Kenneth Petty Breakup Rumors With This IG Post
Nicki Minaj seemingly has something to tell her fans. The “Super Freaky Girl” hitmaker appeared to shut down rumors that she and her husband Kenneth Petty are going separate ways with a new social media post.
On Friday, March 3, the Trinidadian raptress made use of her Instagram account to share a video of her lip-syncing to her new song “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” while sitting on her husband’s lap. At one point, the couple could be seen sweetly posing for the camera with Kenneth planting a kiss on her shoulder.

Though Nicki left the post captionless, it definitely speaks volumes as the clip arrived amid the split rumors. The breakup speculation first emerged late last month, with sources telling Media Take Out that the “Super Bass” femcee and her husband of three years were “living apart.” Insiders claimed that the assault case against the music producer has “taken a toll on their marriage.”
Moreover, Nicki reportedly recently bought a brand new $19.5 million mansion in Hidden Hills California. Records show the Grammy-winning rapper’s famed “Starships” new mansion is located in a guard-gated city in the San Fernando Valley.
Rumors of Nicki and Kenneth’s breakup arrived after she reportedly took a “mental health break” from the “toxic nature” of social media. Indeed, the hip-hop star was noticeably absent from her social media platforms before making a return and releasing her new single.
Of her new song, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”, fans believe that it features lyrics that appear to be subliminal shots aimed at Megan Thee Stallion and Latto (formerly Mulatto). Fans are convinced that the Hot Girl Meg got a double dose of shade.
In the lyrics in question, Nicki raps, “Seven-hundred on ’em horses when we fixin’ to leave (Uh-oh)/ But I don’t f**k with horses since Christopher Reeves,” with some people calling the horse line a reference to Meg. On the other supposed diss line, Nicki snaps, “Ya f**kin’ bozo/ That .40 cal a make ’em dance like a go-go.” In the line people believe is in regard to Latto, Nicki raps, “We don’t be Karen like Donna-na, na-na-na-na.” Many think it is a reference to Nicki calling Latto a Karen during their Twitter spat over Grammy nominations last December.
