Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey put the “bitter” in “bittersweet.” It is likely the last time that we will see this cast together. The group was split into two warring parties. We had the co-stars who were friends with Melissa Gorga, and those who were buddied up to Teresa Giudice. Since Teresa and Melissa don’t speak, filming was difficult. And after the ugly Season 14 finale, plans for the reunion were scrapped. So, while fans wait for casting news, Melissa has been quizzing Andy Cohen.
Melissa Gorga said Bravo is “still figuring it out” when it comes to RHONJ’s future.
However, Andy doesn’t enjoy being asked about the future of RHONJ. “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” Andy previously stated. Yikes! Of course, Melissa weighed in about that timeline. “That’s a really long time,” she stated. “Even if I’m a part of it or not a part, that’s a really long time.”
Melissa discussed her thoughts about RHONJ on her podcast, On Display with Melissa Gorga. “I do ask him, I do. I’ve seen him,” Melissa said of Andy. “I’ve seen him a couple [of] times, but you know the Bravo gods are, he very much so claims, that they are still figuring it out.”
She continued, “They were waiting until after the New Year to work on Jersey, so I think maybe their minds are getting together as we speak. It wasn’t being talked about at all, actually, until after the New Year, so I think right now.”
Thankfully, Melissa is sure that Jersey is coming back. “I do think if they do a big cast shakeup, which Andy has said multiple times that is happening. I do think it calls for a little bit of a pause because you don’t want it to just happen overnight, like all of a sudden there’s three new girls,” Melissa stated.

Still, Melissa was disappointed that RHONJ won’t be back in 2025, but she is hoping that the show will return in 2026. Then she shared her feelings about the future of RHONJ. “If I’m giving my honest opinion, I do think they are going to find they’re probably going to keep a few of us. I do think they would probably keep a couple and they’re definitely going to recast a couple,” Melissa said, “so I feel like you’re going to get a little old and a little new in the new season.”
She also shared that Bravo is interviewing potential new housewives. “I know they are casting right now. I know people that they’re talking to,” the mom of three stated. There was a rumor that allegedly a brand-new cast was set to take over, but then Bravo hit the brakes.
It is going to be a long wait until we hear about the fate of RHONJ. Until then, grab a sprinkle cookie and think of the good old days.
