Megan Thee Stallion Just Recreated an Iconic Regina George Look

Reneé Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion’s new duet, “It’s Not My Fault,” features everyone’s favorite rapper delivering the line “I’m the Black Regina George.” Well, she proved that statement with the release of the track’s music video, which hit the internet today and featured Meg wearing one of the most iconic looks from the beloved 2004 film. Fans know that the movie got a Broadway makeover and that the show is getting a movie adaptation, which explains the new track from Rapp and Meg, but nobody expected her to pull out Regina George’s DIY peekaboo tank top out of our collective memories.

The “It’s Not My Fault” video includes a slew of callbacks to the movie (and, presumably, some to the new one out Jan. 12), but Meg recreated the look with Victoria’s Secret’s Very Sexy So Obsessed Wireless Smooth Push Up Bra in purple underneath a ribbed white tank with two strategic cutouts. Zerina Akers styled Meg for the video, which also saw her in a blonde wig and pairing the peekaboo bra look with a pleated white skirt and metallic pink boots.

The track was released on Dec. 15 and takes its title from Lindsay Lohan’s iconic line, “It’s not my fault you’re like in love with me or something.”

Meg teased the track and a few of the looks from the video last year on Instagram.

“It’s not my fault you’re like in love with me ????????‍♀️,” she wrote alongside an all-pink look that’s perfect to wear on Wednesdays. She also offered a close-up look at her manicure, which was equally pink and had metallic accents.

The song follows “Cobra,” the first song Megan released since becoming an independent artist.
