Mark Consuelos Playfully Scolds LIVE Audience Member for Talking During Show
During the Tuesday, May 28 episode of ‘LIVE with Kelly and Mark,’ the co-hosts welcomed an audience member who made the show a bit more “participatory” than normal
Mark Consuelos was taken aback by LIVE with Kelly and Mark’s audience participation on Tuesday, May 28.
Consuelos, 53, and Kelly Ripa cheekily welcomed audience participation during the latest installment of the daytime talk show.
At the beginning of the episode, the married co-hosts chatted about enjoying the sun-filled holiday weekend in New York City. Per the Page Six TikTok, Consuelos asked executive producer Michael Gelman, “I guess the weather was good here, Michael? It turned out to be gorgeous?”
But quickly, an unidentified audience member shouted, “Not yesterday!” With the couple replying in unison, “Not yesterday.”
Ripa, 53, added, “No, we know. We flew home yesterday,” but then Consuelos interrupted and jokingly called back to the audience member.
“We have some talkers today,” he said, as the crowd erupted in laughter.
“Yeah, it’s participatory,” Ripa chirped, as Consuelos jokingly added, “Somewhat.”
Ripa then continued the conversation and asked her co-host to give her the “weather update.”
The pair celebrated 28 years of marriage on May 1. During that day’s episode, they exchanged “Happy Anniversary” wishes as they remarked on the time that had passed.
“I was in bed last night trying to do the math,” Consuelos said. “My benchmark for a long time is going through first grade to being a senior in high school. Twelve years is a long time. Like, when you were a kid, that’s a whole lifetime. That’s like doing that twice plus a PhD. Plus four years in college and a master’s program!”
“Should I call you Dr. Consuelos?” Ripa joked before Consuelos teased about “maybe doing a house call later.”
As the conversation continued, they shared their goals for the future, with Consuelos saying, he wants, “To continue what we’ve got going,” adding, “And by that, I mean getting all the kids off the payroll.”
“We’re so close,” Ripa noted of their three adult children: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 21. “We can taste it! We can taste the financial freedom. Not that we’re not grateful for the three beautiful children that we love and adore.”
