The “All I Want For Christmas” singer previously canceled three shows after falling ill earlier this month
It’s a Christmas miracle!
Mariah Carey announced that she will be performing the final show of her annual Christmas tour after canceling the last three shows due to illness.
“Lambs, thank you for making my #Christmastime so special ❤️ I’ve loved singing with you every night, and I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow in Brooklyn for the show of the tour,” Carey, 55, said in an Instagram post on Monday, referring to her Dec. 17 show at Barclays Center in New York.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11, shortly before she was set to perform at Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena, the “All I Want for Christmas” singer announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that she had to cancel the show due to her illness.
“Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much,” she wrote. Ticket holders were issued a full refund.
Two days later, the Grammy-winner announced that she was “still sick” and canceled her performances at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and UBS Arena in Belmont Park, N.Y., respectively.
“I’m really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC, 💔,” she wrote in her post on X.
Before confirming that she’d be well enough to perform her Dec. 17 show, Carey joked in an Instagram post shared over the weekend that “Christmas Time Is In The Air Again ❤️🎄(and so are the germs that got me sick, but let’s stay positive!).”
