LUDACRIS LOSES HIS SH-T OVER TEYANA TAYLOR PRIVATE JET SURPRISE
Ludacris has been dying to get his hands on a pair of the unreleased Teyana Taylor “A Rose From Harlem” Air Jordan 1’s — and he’s now finally got a pair.
Spike Tee blessed the Fast & Furious star while he was thousands of feet in the sky aboard a private flight and he excitedly showed off his new kicks in an Instagram video on Thursday morning (May 25).
“What I really want is the Rose From Harlem Teyana Taylor Jordans… It’s like everyone’s got them but me,” he began the skit before the surprise package arrived.
“Mr. Bridges you just got your name in cement,” Luda said, reading a letter from Teyana Taylor which congratulated him on his recent Hollywood star. “Now you got sneakers that rose from cement.”
He reacted: “Oh my God… Call my momma and tell her to clean out my shoe closet and I don’t want nothing in there but the Virgil’s and the Teyana Taylor’s.”
Ludacris then revealed the release date for the highly-sought after kicks to be June 1 worldwide. “I BEEN Trying To Give @teyanataylor her Flowers & She Just Gave Me Mine The @teyanataylor x Air Jordan 1 Zoom ‘A Rose From Harlem’ is out June 1 worldwide,” he captioned his post.
It’s been a busy month for Ludacris as Fast X arrived in cinemas and he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, taking possession of the 2,756th star at 6426 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
“I was fighting tears. Seriously, I was glad that I had my sunglasses on today,” he said after his eldest daughter, Karma, took the podium to pay tribute to him. “That blew me away. Usually, it’s not easy for people to keep certain things from me, but that was 100 percent a surprise. Seems like everybody knew but me! I’m a little pissed off right now. I’m a little mad.”
Ludacris also gave props to his fellow rap contemporaries and supporters, while also remarking that he was the product of the collective of people that helped him become who he is today.
“No matter what people say I can’t do, I will continue to shatter those stereotypes and show people it’s possible in order to make everyone who got me here proud,” he said.
“Because you all inspire my hard work and dedication to receive this star today. I’m motivated by legacy and history.”
