Co-star Jennifer Aniston recently mentioned in an interview that Kudrow became irritated when the crowds laughed too long at something.
Lisa Kudrow is clarifying a recent story from her “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston that she didn’t like when audiences laughed during live tapings.
During a recent interview with Quinta Brunson as part of Variety magazine’s Actors On Actors series, Aniston revealed that while she enjoyed working in front of a live audience, Kudrow had a slightly different opinion.
“Lisa Kudrow, by the way, hated when the audience laughed,” Aniston told Brunson.
“She did?” Brunson replied, sounding a bit surprised.
Aniston said she was telling the truth, adding, “She’d be like, ‘I’m not done! It’s not that funny!’”
ETOnline felt obliged to get Kudrow’s side of the story.
Turns out, she didn’t hate the crowd’s laughter. It just bugged her slightly.
“No, that’s not exactly ― no, no. It irritated me if they would laugh for too long,” Kudrow said, diplomatically adding, “God bless them. They were so excited to be there.”
Still, she said, she wanted the audience to hear the full scripts because “there was more to say.”
