Kygo’s Palm Tree Music Festival in Hamptons relocates to Shinnecock Nation land
After hitting turbulence at a Hamptons airport, Kygo’s Palm Tree Music Festival will go on after all — on land owned by the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton.
We exclusively reported that the hip electronic music fest — to be headlined by Swedish House Mafia — was set to go down at Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach on June 22 for the fourth year.
But the Federal Aviation Administration rejected the fest’s permit, even after the music event appealed.
A statement from Palm Tree said: “To all our eagerly anticipated attendees, we’re excited to inform you that the Palm Tree Music Festival will be held at a new location for its fourth annual event: the Shinnecock Nation in Southampton. Our partnership with the Shinnecock Nation promises significant benefits for the festival guests and for the community, and we are committed to making this year’s festival successful and memorable once again.”
