Kidnapper breaks jail in Takoradi

A suspected kidnapper has escaped from police custody in Takoradi in the Western Region after being remanded by court for the offence, MyNewsGh.com can report.

Prisoner Samuel Udoetuk Wills a Nigerian who was remanded into Police custody for the offence of kidnapping escaped from lawful Police custody according to the account of the police themselves.

It gathered that he was left in the care of Sergeant Stephen Amoh the Counter NCO, Lance Corporal Rejoice Mensah the Station Orderly and Lance Corporal George Konadu but they failed to keep an eye on him leading to his escape.

Sources say, the suspect cut the three 5/8 Inch iron rods used to secure the ventilation window with an implement and escaped at the blind side of the cops who have since been given ten days to recapture the fugitive
