One Corner hitmaker, Patapaa Amisty has described budding artist Kawoula Biov as an ungrateful being and he regrets working with him.
It will be recalled that ‘Daavi Ne Ba’ became popular after Patapaa’s verse on the song went viral. People didn’t really understand what it means but were dancing to the verse Scopatumanaa.
Kawoula Biov, the owner of the song said, Pataapa when performing the song does not him credit, which is bad because the rapper was not willing to feature on the song when he first approached him.
This didn’t go down well with Patapaa, hence he described Kawoula as an ungrateful being.
In an interview with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa at the launch of Ghana Meets Naija 2019, Patapaa revealed that he is not claiming ownership of the song, but just enjoying the popularity of his verse on the song. Patapaa said, for Kawoula to say his verse on the song was senseless and meaningless, but now enjoying the popularity of the song, he knows Kawoula is ungrateful and he regrets working with him.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with him, the first shot the video without me, so I had to ask that the video be shot again. I’m not claiming ownership of the song even though I made the song popular, the song is not mine, I’m only enjoying my verse on the song which went viral and made the song popular.
What bores me is that Kawoula said in an interview that, my verse on the song was senseless and meaningless yet you’re enjoying the popularity of the song now. I have nothing to say, I now know he is ungrateful being and I regret working with him”
Asked whether he will perform the song during shows, he said “Never, I will never perform that song anywhere and I don’t want him close to me in any way, I’m done working with him. I wish the song would be played without my part”
Patapaa is among the Ghanaian artistes headlining this year’s Ghana Meets Naija which will come off on Saturday 6th June 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
