Johnny Depp’s life post Amber Heard trial
A Virginia-based jury last month found that Heard defamed Depp in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed about him becoming a “public figure representing domestic abuse,” and they awarded him more than $10 million in damages.
Although she did not specifically mention Depp in the essay, his attorneys contended that the implications were clear and hurt their client’s reputation. Heard also received $2 million in compensatory damages from the seven-member jury for one of her three defamation counterclaims.
Depp also revealed that he will make his acting comeback in a movie set in Europe that will be filmed this summer in Paris at famous locations like the Palace of Versailles.
The actor will start a three-month European shoot under Maiwenn’s direction (Polisse, Mon Roi). He will make his first project appearance in almost three years with the movie Jeanne du Barry, in which he will co-star with Louis Garrel, Pierre Richard, and Noémie Lvovsky as photographer Eugene Smith.
So no plans for him to return as Jack Sparrow, at least for now.
