Jay-Z Speaks on the Legacy of His ‘In My Lifetime, Vol 1’ Album

Jay-Z’s In My Lifetime, Vol. 1’ album has many of the rapper’s best moments on wax. While many have panned the album for the rapper’s attempts at commercial appeal with the “Sunshine” video, many have stood by the quality of the album.

Questlove recently took to Twitter to speak on the album, saying, “Our main argument is his hate for Vol. 1 – He is embarrassed for trying to make a monster & not putting numbers up. But ALOT of this lp contains his best moments. Fight me @sc.”

Jay-Z responded by saying, “Agreed. More so, I know what could have been, so it haunts me… streets is watching was the first song made!” Take a look above.
