“What the f— did taylor cats do with his jeans?” one Swiftie asked on X, attracting the retired NFL star’s attention
Taylor Swift’s cats have entered the chat!
Jason Kelce, 36 is having a laugh at the expense of his brother Travis Kelce’s latest fashion statement and a well-timed cat joke.
After Travis, 34, wore jeans with an eye-catching amount of rips to an NBA Playoffs game on Sunday, May 26, a fan of his cat-loving girlfriend Taylor Swift, 34, reacted to the style choice in the most Swiftie way possible.
“What the f— did taylor cats do with his jeans?” @thisisvertrying shared on X (formerly Twitter) alongside a photo of the ripped jeans, referencing the 14-time Grammy winner’s three cats.
The cat-infused joke attracted Jason’s attention, as he reposted it, adding his commentary to the discussion. “Now that’s funny!” the retired NFL star wrote on X.
Travis wore the tattered jeans courtside during the Western Conference Finals game 3 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end paired the jeans with sunglasses that matched the color of the large red apple on his white T-shirt. In photos, he can be seen laughing and enjoying the NBA matchup with Chiefs teammates Marquise Brown and Patrick Mahomes, as well as Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahome
Swift, a known cat lover, has three felines as pets, named Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button. Swift’s cats have famously appeared with the pop star on the 2023 cover of TIME’s Person of the Year issue and in the music videos for “Blank Space,” ”ME!” and “Karma.”
In “Karma,” Swift even gave a nod to her fondness for felines in the lyrics. “Karma is my boyfriend, karma is a god, karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend, karma’s a relaxing thought, aren’t you envious that for you it’s not? Sweet like honey, karma is a cat, purring in my lap ’cause it loves me,” she sings.
While Swift hasn’t reacted to the ripped jeans joke from the Swiftie, the pop star recently had the chance to perform songs speculated to be about Travis for him during her Eras Tour.
When Travis attended the fourth and final Paris show on May 12, Swift performed “So High School” in front of him for the first time on tour, at one point singing, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.”
