The retired NFL star is set to host a new late night show on ESPN next year
Jason Kelce is sharing the late-night TV advice he got from Jimmy Kimmel ahead of his new show.
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, released Wednesday, Nov. 27, the retired NFL star, 37, revealed that Kimmel, 57, gave him a lot of guidance for his new venture when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Nov. 21.
“I got to see Jimmy Kimmel this past week and I thought it was absurd. It was hilarious,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center said. “Jimmy was the man, offered tons of advice, got to follow him around all day.”
“So to be able to go on his show and promote my show that’s coming out, but also you just go there and talk to him,” he continued. “Get all the ins and outs of how to run a late night show, how you talk into the camera, how you choose topics, how you prepare.”
“I believe it, man,” commented his brother Travis, 35. “Got to got the pleasure of meeting Jimmy over the summer, man. What a guy. Great dude, and you could tell he’s one of the best in the business for a reason, man.”
On Nov. 21, Jason revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he would be hosting a new late-night show on ESPN next year.
“Yes, I’m starting I believe it’s January 3rd — I hope it’s January 3rd! — we’ll be doing a late-night show during the postseason on ESPN,” he told Kimmel.
