Jason Kelce is still adjusting to life in front of a camera!
During a live episode of Monday Night Countdown on Monday, Dec. 9, the retired NFL star, 37, jokingly called the cities of Arlington and Dallas the “butthole” of America.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) the camera panned over the top of the AT&T Stadium as the Dallas Cowboys were playing against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cohost Scott Van Pelt then said over the footage, “This is the state of Texas, Arlington, Dallas…”
At this point, Kelce interjected and joked, “Also the butthole and armpit of America.”
“Hey! Hey! Whoa!” his cohosts immediately responded, as Kelce insisted “It was a joke!”
“I was joking … see now I …” he said while looking around at the panel.
“Guys, it was just a joke because of what Mina said, he added in reference to an earlier comment made by Mina Kimes on the show when she, Drew Carter and Dan Orlovsky appeared as animated Simpsons-themed versions of themselves during their coverage of the game, according to the New York Post.
“We’re having fun here. I love Dallas,” Kelce added. “We got the cowboy hats.”
