On Thursday (December 15), Live Nation announced that the Together Again North American Tour has added a second Madison Square Garden show along with additional dates in Atlanta, Hollywood, FL and Allentown, PA.
“Thank u guys for showing this tour so much love. Because of you, we had to add some more dates,” Janet said of the additional shows on Twitter.
The news comes less than two days after the show opened up for pre-sales for Citi card and fan club members, with the general ticket sales set for Friday (December 16).

The 37-city tour coincides with a series of anniversaries in Janet Jackson’s career — 30 years since the release of janet., 15 years since Discipline, and 50 years since she began her career in the entertainment business. The 56-year-old Grammy winner also confirmed that new music is on the way and will be released and performed on the road.
“Yes, there will be new music,” she said in a video posted to Instagram about the tour. “I know all of you, ‘Where’s the new music?’ There will be new music and my special guest will be Ludacris.”
In 2020, there were reports of a biopic depicting the life and times of the legendary singer being in the works. The Jasmine Brand reported that auditions had begun, but things were temporarily paused due to COVID-19 – so there may still be a possibility that the film is on the way.
COVID also interfered with Janet Jackson’s prior tour plans, as she announced a now-scrapped LP titled Black Diamond along with a supporting tour of the same name just a month before the worldwide pandemic.
“Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut. I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy,” Janet said at the time of the February 2020 announcement. “There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”
Tickets for the 2023 Together Again North American Tour will be available at 11am local time Friday on Live Nation’s site.
