I will not turn down an invite to perform at VGMA’s 20th anniversary – Lord Kenya

Ghanaian rapper turned Evangelist Lord Kenya has disclosed that he is ever ready to perform at the 20th Anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) when invited.

According to him, he is willing to perform at the event if only an invitation is extended to him.

He indicated that performing at the VGMAs will give him the chance to win more souls for God.

“I’m still a musician but where I find myself now, I’m doing what I have been commanded by God. People doubted me when I turned to do God’s work. What I can tell them is that my past wasn’t me… It was a mistaken identity. If I will do music again I need the Holy Spirit to keep me informed.

“If Charterhouse wants me to perform on stage to commemorate the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 20th Anniversary, let’s talk about it but it will be a surprise. At the end of the day, you will hear JESUS IS LORD.” Lord Kenya disclosed in an interview on Hitz FM.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) has been in existence for two decades and it stands as Ghana’s most prestigious event that rewards artists for their hard work.

A series of programme have been lined up as part of the 20th anniversary of the awards, including the much-anticipated Artiste of the Decade accolade.

Lord Kenya emerged the big winner taking four awards at the VGMAs including the prestigious Song of the Year Award which every musician in Ghana cherishes. He also won the Artiste of The Year, Hiplife Song of the Year as well as the Hiplife Album of the Year

Born Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo, the Veteran rapper is now an evangelist.
