Harvest Praise 2019 to come off on April 19

HARVEST International Ministries, organisers of the annual Easter concert, Harvest Praise, has launched this year’s edition of the music festival. 

The launch came off on Saturday, March 2 at Harvest International Ministries’ Tesano Branch in Accra and it was announced that this year, the show will take place on Good Friday, April 19, at the Fantasy Dome inside the Trade Fair Centre at La in Accra.

Speaking at the launch, Citi FM‘s Bernard Avle, who was the MC, said no one should miss it.

“I just cannot see or understand why anyone would miss this year’s Harvest Praise, this event is the only event that does not know denomination; irrespective of your background, whether orthodox, Pentecostal, charismatic, wherever you are from, you will have something to go home with.”

Ministering at the launch, which became a church service on its own were the Daughters of Glorious Jesus and the Harvest Gospel Choir. They blessed the patrons with their great voices and beautiful performances.

Bernard Avle explained that “We are not launching this just for launching sake but to let people have a feel of what to expect that day.

“That is why we are doing this and it is my prayer that Harvest Praise this year will not only be about entertainment but barriers that have worked against Christians will be dealt with and the name Jesus Christ will be greater. There will be salvation and elevation, so we are not launching just to sell tickets.

The chairperson of the Harvest Praise 2019 Committee, Dr Gloria Folson, also used the opportunity to apologise to all those who had issues with their 2018 edition.

“We want to say we are sorry for all the inconveniences we caused our patrons last year. We want to say that the feedback has been taken and it has been worked on and this year will be a better one,” she said.

Harvest Praise is the evangelistic tool of the Harvest International Ministries. For 19 years, the concert has won hundreds of souls across the length and breadth of the nation.

Harvest Praise has also been used to project local and international talents in the gospel music industry.

Moses OK, Tagoe Sisters, Diana Hamilton, Andrae Crouch, Kurt Carr, Bob Fitts, Vinesong, Darwin Hobbs, Todd Dulaney, Joe Mettle, Anthony Brown, KODA, and a host of prolific artistes have graced the Harvest Praise stage over the years.
