Future and DJ Khaled appear to have experienced a grave miscommunication after the We the Best boss attempted to jet-ski straight to King Pluto’s crib despite the Atlanta rapper not even being home.
A viral video of the exchange shows Khaled speeding along the water on his jet ski in the hopes of visiting the Freebandz frontman.
“Future! Where you at, Future? I’m on my way!” Khaled calls out as the wind can be heard whipping against his phone.
“I’m not home turn around,” Pluto replied with a laughing emoji while reposting the clip on his Instagram Stories.
DJ Khaled’s jet skiing antics are nothing new, and fans will remember the hilarious jet ski escapade he live-streamed back in 2015 when he found himself lost at sea.
Speaking to Tech Insider, Khaled explained: “When I was on the jet ski, I documented it because I was scared shitless. I felt like if my battery gonna go down, somebody gonna call somebody.”
Future and DJ Khaled’s hitmaking relationship is also no secret, as the pair have collaborated together numerous times. They most recently linked up twice on Khaled’s God Did album, joining forces on “Beautiful” alongside SZA and the Lil Baby-assisted “Big Time.”
The former was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards, but didn’t end up winning. Hendrix didn’t go home empty-handed, though, as his chart-topping hit “Wait For U” with Drake and Tems took home the award.
In other Future news, the Atlanta trap legend recently reunited with The Weeknd for “Double Fantasy,” which will appear on the soundtrack for the Toronto singer’s upcoming HBO series, The Idol.
He is also expected to release a joint album with Metro Boomin sometime this year, cementing a potent partnership that has produced hits like “Mask Off,” “Jumpman” and “Where Ya At.”
