Eminem sets record for most albums with over 1 billion streams in Spotify history

Eminem is regarded as one of the best lyricists in Spotify history, and the numbers definitely back it up. The Detroit rapper hasn’t put out a project in 2020, but is still shattering various streaming records.

According to Chart Data, Eminem has now broken the record for most albums with over 1 billion streams in Spotify history. This is after reaching 11 in total.

On Wendesday, Eminem’s “The Slim Shady LP” surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams, which help set this impressive record. This project was originally released back in February 1999, and peaked at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart. The Slim Shady LP is also 4x platinum, in the US.

Eminem’s last album released, was “Music To Be Murdered By,” in January 2020. That served as his 11th studio album. It was led by the “Darkness” and “Godzilla” ft. Juice WRLD singles.
