‘Hot Ones’ host Sean Evans said he has invited the actor to appear on the YouTube series “for years”
Dwayne Johnson isn’t ready to feel the heat on Hot Ones just yet.
Sean Evans, who hosts the popular YouTube talk show, recently spoke with Bloomberg about Hot Ones and how he has been trying to get the actor, 52, on the series for years.
Though he told the outlet he once came close to closing a deal for Johnson to appear on the program — in which celebrity guests answer questions while eating chicken wings with various hot sauces — Evans, 38, revealed that the father of three had a very specific request tied to making an appearance.
“We’ve been pitching [The Rock] obviously for years and one time I got a note back that was like, ‘Would you be willing to do, instead of wings, grilled salmon strips?’ And in my head I was like, that had to come from his mouth,” Evans said.
“That’s as close as we’ve gotten,” he added. “And then it fell through.”
