Druski’s recent interaction with NBA YoungBoy following a joke gone wrong was enough to make the comedian never want to play with the Baton Rouge artist again.
In an interview with Middleman Media on Thursday (December 15), Druski was asked about the October exchange that resulted in YoungBoy’s team sending an ominous warning. In no uncertain terms, the comedian made it clear that it left him shook.
“[I was] nervous as hell. I ain’t gon lie to you,” Druski admitted. “YoungBoy one of them ones. He put that fear in your heart for real. He don’t play that bullshit.”
When the interviewer noted how small YoungBoy is, Druski said it didn’t even matter. “I ain’t even seen him in person yet. That gun big. Them bullets big,” he responded. “You ain’t ever heard that saying: ‘You can be in the gym all day, you still gon’ get hit with this .40’? Knock yo’ ass back!”

The aforementioned joke happened on Instagram, when YoungBoy shared a vlog of him hanging out with his baby mother and fiancée, Jazlyn Mychelle, at their home. When it was reposted on Akademiks’ Instagram page, Druski slid into the comments section to poke fun at Mychelle – and it didn’t go well.
“Bitch look like me,” the comedian wrote along with a crying face emoji.
NBA YoungBoy’s label, Never Broke Again LLC, didn’t see the funny side of Druski’s comment, though. “@druski this why y’all n-ggas be dying,” the label responded with a bicep emoji.
YoungBoy then hopped into Druski’s Instagram Live later in the week, and though he reminded the comedian that jokes like that will never fly, it appeared to be a much lighter interaction.
“Ah look, you got me on here! Don’t get to playing! Don’t make the joke outta me bruh,” NBA YoungBoy said with a smile.
Druski responded by putting his hands in the air and joking, “I wanted you to join [my fictional label] Coulda Been Records!”
NBA YoungBoy and Jazlyn Mychelle welcomed their second child together, a boy, in September, bringing the rapper’s total number of kids to 10.
