Buk Bak’s come back after they broke up in 2005 was a good move for fans and as usual, they didn’t disappoint as they released some hit tracks with ‘Kolom’ being the most notable one.

People jammed to the song and got a nomination at the VGMA’s but one thing Ghanaians didn’t know was the fact that one of the founding members, Shotto’ verse on the song was deleted before it was released and according to Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Prince Bright of Buk Bak fame, he took the decision to delete the lyrics of their colleague Shotto from their Kolom track for the good of the group.

Explaining why Shotto’s verse was deleted, bright in an interview with Cookie T and KOD on Starr FM’s Drive Time revealed that as the leader of the team, he had to make sure the verses of each of them served the purpose of the track and were in sync with the objective of the song.

The explanations come after founding member of the group Shotto in a recent media interview expressed anger at the deletion of his verse of the hit track years back.

In his explanation, Shoot’s lyrics didn’t conform to the song thus the decision to delete it stating that he takes responsibilities for the action they took in the past.

“Being the leader of the group I had to ensure that we were on the same thing. For the good of Buk Bak, we had to delete his lyrics. And if he was in Ghana he would have understood it. He shouldn’t blame Roni. If he loved BUK BAK he would understand that we do things for the collective good of the group”.

Speaking on further accusations that he has been trying to deny Shotto his position in the group, Bright noted that such is not true.

“I will say I love you my brother, Shotto under no circumstances will any of the members of Buk Bak disregard that we started this together. You have the right to claim the founder of Buk Bak anyway.

“But you based your assumptions on subjective information. Whenever I mount any stage I mention the founders. I don’t have anything against him, I don’t take anything from. He has a right to claim anything”.
